Pedagogical principles of Teaching Games for Understanding and sport Education models: research based advance pedagogy for Physical Education.

The TGfU models have a solid base of scientific and practical validity. This model is student centered with a high congruence with the constructivist theories of learning. They are models that have been developed not from theory, but from research in practice, bringing together successful practices and behaviors of efficient teachers, with a solid theoretical basis.

The greatest virtue of this model is to put the pupil at the center of the teaching process, giving him ownership and decision-making capacity. The content is adapted to the student and not the other way around. I implement this model both in the Physical Education Teacher Program and in primary and secondary education centers. My experience and research have shown me that students prefer to be taught sports using these models.
