Floorball (indoor hockey): practical and theoretical session

This is a practical workshop with some explanation of the background and practice of the assessment protocols used. It will be approximately 70% practical:30% presentation/discussion

The assessment protocol used in this presentation encourages learners to reflect on various aspects of their learning and performance in class, incorporating all 5 of the SHAPE standards. Also, participants will be taken through the progressions used to develop skills and strategies relevant to invasion games, in particular floor hockey.

Studied and experienced North American hockey in Western Canada (BC) between years 1990-2002
Worked as a professional coach in several countries and leagues since 2002
Established and developed numerous projects around the world (e.g. development programs in Norway, Austria, Germany and China)
Worked as a coach in Winter Olympics (2010) and World Championships (2009, 2010 and 2013) for teams Norway, Austria and Japan.
